New in Profit 18

HR and Payroll

Hours a day in the timetable

These days, employees no longer work 8 hours from 8.30 a.m. up to and including 5 p.m. as standard. For example, employees work different hours because they work from home. In this case, you do not want to define fixed working hours, but you only want to define the number of hours. For this, the Hours a day timetable type is available.
The option of defining hours a day combines the advantages of alternating working patterns and specified timetables.

Timetable optimisation

Several improvements have been implemented for the timetable because of the arrival of the Hours a day timetable type. For example, the name for the different types has changes, a new Timetable type field is available and, for example, the Default timetable field has been moved up in the Profit Windows wizard.

Please note: The name and settings of the timetables are changing automatically in relation to the employees when you migrate to Profit 18 You can find more information about this here.

Working from home

More and more employees are structurally working one or several days a week from home. You can now define the number of home working days for the employee. This will give insight into the staffing level at the department and you can link it to a working from home allowance.

Joining and leaving employment script

There are very many tasks that must be performed when onboarding and offboarding employees. These task must take place at fixed moments when jointing or leaving the company. When employment starts, you could, for example, think of tasks such as Laptop configuration, Issuing access card or Defining the next of kin in case of emergencies. If you use scripts, Profit will generate workflows for fixed tasks automatically so that you can safeguard all tasks related to joining and leaving the company.

Add a new year for leave

Part of the Payroll year-end transition is adding the statutory and non-statutory leave for the new year. You needed to do this manually for all working conditions. This process has been simplified. Now, you can easily supplement the statutory and non-statutory leave for the new year using a wizard.

Recruitment and selection

The recruitment and selection process has been optimised. This gives you more control and options.
We have added or optimised the following:

  • Changing the person or persons responsible in the vacancy in InSite
  • Main responsible person destination
  • Application statuses
  • Add cities
  • Salary indication for Google Job

Salary audit file (XAS)

The tax authorities uses the salary audit file (XAS) for automatically auditing the wage administration of companies. The salary audit file is related to the exchange of salary entries. As from now, you can generate the salary audit file in Profit.

HR/Payroll reconciliation with Financial

The data in the salary administration should be reconciled with the data as included in the financial administration. With the Financial reconciliation overview, you can more easily reconcile the financial administration and salary administration.

The objective of the overview is to prove the reconciliation of the employee insurances to be deducted and wage and final levies as the employer must specify them via the digital payroll tax form. From the new overview, you can zoom into the ledger and the wage calculation with which you can prove and safeguard the correctness and reconciliation.

Payroll audit reports

Personal copies of audit reports were not visible via the Output action in the Payroll processing cockpit. To make this possible, the Remittance reduction, Payroll statement, End-of-year payslip and Summary wage list audit reports are linked to a matching report type.

This also ensures to put the audit reports together in the Output menu. This will give you a better overview in the menu and you can also immediately open your own copy.

  • Summary wage list
New versions are available for the summary wage list reports. This version has new formatting and is classified more logically. The old variants will be deleted in a future version of Profit.

  • Position management dashboard

The Position management dashboard has been expanded with the calculation of the wage costs. These wage costs can be determined based on the budgeted wage costs per FTE in the position budget itself and based on the calculated 'Employer's costs' basis. This calculated basis is totalised for each employee and, subsequently, converted into the position allocation percentage for the employee. This means that the basis is distributed over the correct position places.
This calculation can be found on the Position per period and Position details worksheets. On the last worksheet, there is no calculation because you only see the entries in the position here. This does not apply in the wage costs.
The wage costs are only shown in the graph and detailed table after you have selected this from the Calculation drop-down menu. A KPI of the figure is not displayed.

  • Dashboard Organisation chart

The 'Organisation chart' dashboard has been expanded with a worksheet: Organisation chart including information for each employee and manager calculated for each head count. This worksheet shows the detail table with employees as well as the organisation chart.
If you click an OU on the worksheet, you will immediately be shown the related employees via the detail table. This includes the underlying employees of the underlying OUs.
If you keep the Shift key pressed and you then click OU, you will only see the employees of this OU.
