Search results while typing

Searching in Profit and InSite is now even easier and faster!

Now when you type something in a search field in Profit or InSite, most fields already display results as you type. You search by both descriptions and codes. Use the arrow keys to choose a result and select Enter to confirm your choice.  

This also works in entry layouts.

Blocked lines lock

The lock to show/hide blocked lines is back as a button at the top of the view! This was one of the requests with the most votes on the wish list.

In addition, other improvements have been made to make filtering even more intuitive and faster.

Easier filtering

Filtering has been made easier in several places in Profit. You will notice this first in a view, when you start the advanced filter using the funnel button (Ctrl+F). These are the optimisations:

• Did you apply a quick filter? Below the filter button you have the new choice Save as new filter. This functionality already existed, but this new menu choice now makes it easier to find.
• In the advanced filter, it is now easier to navigate using the keyboard. Using the arrow keys you can automatically add new lines or columns.
• If you navigate with the mouse, you will see additional buttons for deleting or copying. Have you created a complex filter line that you then want to reuse? You can copy and modify it in a blink of the eye.
• Check the filter directly using the Preview button.
• Always save the advanced filter.
• In the view below the filter button, management has been made easier. Select a filter and you will see additional buttons to edit or delete the filter.
• If a filter is active, the filter button is displayed in orange.

These changes have also been implemented in the data filters in the Authorisation tool. Due to the nature of the data filter, there are some minor differences from the display filter above.

You will also see this default filter appear in many other places, such as in analyses, reports and documents, signals, selections, etc. As an example, you can see the filter on reports below.

Adjust column colour including 'Negative amount red''

You can now set a colour for each column in the view using the right mouse button. Bold is also among the options.

As an additional option, you can have Profit make the negative amounts in a column red with the option Negative amount red (via select column header / press right mouse button / Colour). Easy creation of analyses, allowing you to see at a glance where the challenges lie!

Hotkey for entry layout actions

Another handy shortcut! With Ctrl+M, you directly reach the button in the lines section of the entry layout. This is the button for Actions or More actions. 

Hotkey for switching views

You can now open another view without using your mouse. Press Ctrl+J to see all views, select the desired view and press Enter to open it.

Shortcuts when editing views

More handy shortcuts, this time when editing a view. Select a field and use the hotkeys to quickly delete or move it up or down.

Minimise properties screen

You can now also minimise property screens. This applies to all property screens, e.g. employee, project and debtor properties.
