From Profit 3 onwards, it is possible to export and import workflows between different environments. This fulfils a frequently-cited wish.
To this end, the Import and Export action buttons have been added in the file item type on the Workflow tab. You can also export workflows from the new General / Workflow management / Workflows function (see below).
After the start of a workflow, successive tasks follow for different employees, contacts or applicants. To make things a little easier for everyone, we have implemented two optimisations.
The first change. When you open a workflow, you normally see a show page. Through a setting in the workflow editor, you can now configure that someone will enter the adjust page directly. So the user does not have to click on Adjust, as this is done automatically. This is not only useful for workflows in which you usually want to make an adjustment immediately, but also very nice for people who are not familiar with AFAS workflows. You no longer need to search for the Adjust button; the fields to be adjusted will be displayed right in front of you. Using the actions on the right, you can save your changes and perform the action immediately. That saves the necessary mouse clicks. This is possible in all of your own file item types and in the Assess applicant (Profit) type.
The second change. You can now associate a different profile for each task. Depending on where you are in the workflow, this may show different fields. In other words, as an administrator you can determine exactly which fields are displayed for a specific task, and therefore which fields the user is allowed to modify.
You created a condition in a workflow so that the flow runs even more optimally. But did you set up the condition correctly? You can now test that directly in the workflow editor, if you have permissions to workflows of the relevant file item type. Use the Test condition action to select a flow and immediately see whether the condition is met or not.
