Pamper your customers and colleagues!
An employee can automatically receive an email message of an alert. You can now use message temples for these email messages. This means that you compose the subject and the text of the message yourself and you can also use alert fields in the message. You can, of course, also insert images and apply formatting.
In this way, you cannot just send an alert to users, but also to people outside of your organisation such as purchase and sales contacts. Examples include:
An alert can have several destinations and therefore you can generate the alert internally for an employee and you can email it externally to a contact.
Note: Conversion
Sending email messages based on an alert is part of the existing functionality. Before, however, you could not link a message template because a default message was always used.
As from Profit 7, the message template, however, is required if you send an alert through email. This is why existing alerts with an email destination are being converted. Automatically, your own message template with default text will be created with regard to these alert destinations. You can change these yourself.
in email messages there's no distinction between the alert test before/during/after an event. On InSite this distinction will be made, provided you've recorded the approrpiate tests in the alert properties.
Alert for incorrectly processed communication messages
With the new alert Communication messages with incorrect processing (Profit), you will receive a message if an outgoing, incoming or service message from the communication profiles has an incorrect status.
Configuration
You must copy and unblock the alert definition. Open the new alert and set the alert destination.
Via Profit, more and more email messages are being sent, for example, to send course invitations, alerts, reminders, invoices, etc. Profit now logs all sent messages. An administrator can view the logging via General / Management / Sent email.
This is useful when, for example, a customer calls because a message has not arrived. Do you want to serve your contacts even better? You can also create alerts on this. You will then, for example, receive an alert if sending an email message has failed. This ensures that you can approach your contacts proactively when there are problems and immediately put things right.
This functionality is only available in AFAS Online and you must use the AFAS Online mail server.
In the adjacent figure you can see all the characters that you can now use in names of people, organisations and places.
No distinction is made in the Authorisation Tool between usernames with and without letters with accents. You cannot import these special characters with accents.
A few optimisations have been implemented.
Note:
As from Profit 7, new URLs will be recorded in the user settings. This is a prepation on the new sign-on method. If you use a firewall, you should check if the new URLs are allowed. Use the following link and check the firewall settings.
