Managing projects faster and more efficiently!
Add cost estimates/sales quotations in InSite is a new step towards location independent working. You no longer have to use Profit Windows for this. You can add from both the project and the forecast. And, if you want, you can immediately also add a project team on the basis of the employees in the lines! Isn't that cool!
Changing existing cost estimates and finalising them (multiselect!) is now easy as pie.
You can already use this for lines with costs, work types and articles not held in stock but not for other lines.
Authorise this via the new Manage cost estimates and View cost estimate functions. The Finalise an existing cost estimate action is included in Manage cost estimates. You can also authorise this action and you can turn it into a 'Direct to'.
The existing templates and pages for viewing cost estimates have been moved from the View projects functionality to View Cost estimates.
You can now view the details of obligations by clicking on them in InSite on the Obligations per project page.
With the Construction activation, you can record a bill of quantities based on a cost estimate. You can keep track of progress with regard to the customer therein. You can submit the progress and the new amounts to be invoiced for approval by the sales contact via an invoice proposal. This will ensure that you continue to have insight into the progress of the project, the approval from the sales contact and invoicing via the bill of quantities and invoice proposal.
This is mainly interesting for companies that operate in the civil engineering area.

Profit can now automatically suggest the hour type preference when entering hours once you have selected the work type. You no longer need to search. Clearer and faster. Apart from actual costing, this will also be implemented for cost estimate and also at a few other places.
