WAZO notification for paid parental leave

Paid parental leave is a WAZO benefit of 70% of the daily wage and is applied for and paid after taking the leave (in parts). As from Profit 22, it is now possible to make the WAZO claim for paid parental leave (in relation to birth) through a UWV message from Profit. Within this context, you have the option of submitting one WAZO application and two Payment requests per child.

Current parental leave remainder data

The current remaining parental leave is visible in the employee's properties. The Current taken and Currentlyremaining fields have been added to the view on the Remaining parentalleave tab in the employee's properties.

On InSite, the Taken field has been changed to remainder in weeks in My parental leave and Employee parental leave. Previously, the remainder was shown in hours. As from Profit 22, the Leave entitlement, Taken and Remainder are now in weeks.

In addition, three new alerts have been delivered that alert you to the fact that an employee has had paid parental leave and/or additional birth leave and for which a WAZO claim can be submitted. These alerts can be copied and changed.  This refers to the following alerts:

Delete applicants

The operation of the Deletion planned date field has changed as from Profit 22. In this field, the date was determined immediately when the applicant was created. This date did not change thereafter.

As from Profit 22, the date entered in this field will always be 1 year after the application date after creating the applicant. This date will not change until all the applicant's applications have the 'Rejected' status. When all applications have the 'Rejected' status, the date in the field changes. Two options apply. One year may be saved based on the My data check box:

  • Check box selected: the Deletion planned date fieldshows the date 1 year after the value of the Date rejected field on the last application.
  • Check box not selected: the Deletion planned date field shows the date 4 weeks after the value of the Date rejected field on the last application.

It is therefore important to reject applicants through the workflow or to enter a value in the Date rejected field in Profit.

Occupational health and safety service absenteeism standard

We have switched to the latest version of the absenteeism standard for the Zorg van de Zaak, Arbo Unie and ArboNed occupational health and safety services and some smaller occupational health and safety services. In addition, the following optimisations have been implemented:

  • Gender unknown/not specified is available in the delivery.
  • Expected end date for the absence has been added to the absence standard.
  • A field for standard hours has been added to the absence standard. This refers to the 'Hours per week' timetable type.
  • The employee contact details have been expanded. This refers to Business email address, Business land line telephone and Business mobile telephone.

In addition, all employees who are submitted to the occupational health and safety service and have current absences are checked to see if the manager is still up-to-date. If the manager is up to date, nothing happens. If an employee's manager is no longer up-to-date, the employee's new manager will be sent to the occupational health and safety service.

Right to work-check via Valicare

We have expanded our partnership with Valicare: you can now also do a Right to work check through Valicare. Based on a residence document, it is determined whether a person is allowed to work in the Netherlands. After the feedback from Valicare, the data is recorded in Profit.

Expansion of UPA to include leave types and generation scheme indication

The calculation of pension premiums may be affected by unpaid leave (parental leave) and by a generation scheme. For pension providers, this is not always transparent. As a result, a calculated premium may differ from the premium as the pension provider would calculate it. To provide more insight into this, the UPA has been amended as follows as from 2023:

  • All types of unpaid leave are included in the UPA. This indicates that the relevant hours (may) be pensionable. If you use your own wage components, you can have them included on the corresponding list terms.
  • If a generation scheme (generation pact) applies, this is indicated in the UPA. This applies, for example, if an employee receives a part-time rate of 80%, while the salary is 100% and the pension premium is also calculated on this.

Pension administrator switching as from 2023

As from 01-01-2023, several collective labour agreements will switch to the UPA

  • Belgian pension fund Banden en Wielen is moving from AZL to Appel and is becoming part of the UPA
  • The PAWW Foundation will start to use the UPA format
  • TKP will make Stap Algemeen Pensioenfonds start to use the UPA format

In addition, Appel took over the pension administration for Beton from Centric as from 01-04-2022.

  • Task information in the queue
The task information linked to the Delete applicants task is now available in the queue.  This shows which applicants have been partially and fully deleted. • BI recruitment and selection' collection of data'
A new data collection is available called BI Recruitment and Selection. This table was already used for the BI dashboard in relation to recruitment & selection. After deleting applicants, the data linked to these applicants and related applications disappears, but can still be found in this table without references to persons. Ideal to use for creating your own analyses and/or external dashboards.
  • Application workflow
Within the workflow, it is possible to link applicants to another vacancy via the Link vacancy action. This action closes the original application and creates a new application based on the selected vacancy. As from Profit 22, the status of the original application is changed to Rejected when the workflow is closed. In addition, the date on which the workflow action was performed is entered in the Date rejected field.
  • UPA agency when employment starts
A second UPA agency field has been added on the Create agency tab in the Create when employment starts profile. This allows you to specify that two agencies of the Uniform pension return type should be linked to the employee.
