We improved reminders and debtor monitoring. Here are the main innovations:
It is now possible to split reminders from the same debtor per reminder line or per invoice.
You can now set a different reminder set for each ledger account. Profit automatically enters the values for these using the invoice and automatically splits the invoices per reminder set, per reminder line or per invoice (if you have set this up).
Profit can now calculate different types of collection costs automatically when making the reminder definitive and automatically enter them when reconciling a payment. There are 4 types of collection costs: Legal collection costs, Costs of claims governed by public law (reminders), Costs of claims governed by public law (writ of execution) or Administrative law claim. The last 3 are specific to government organisations.
We have added a new file item type: Debtor monitoring. This allows you to monitor progress even better. You get an alert to start the Debtor monitoring workflow. The InSite page now also shows the invoice (PDF), reminders, other outstanding items, interest payable and collection fees payable. During this workflow, you can easily adjust payment terms and conditions, payment deadlines or call-back dates. Profit handles the workflow automatically once the debtor has paid.
From now on, you can record investment projects in Profit. Investment projects help you efficiently manage the acquisition of fixed assets with multiple purchase invoices. Consider, for example, keeping track of construction projects and other large investments spread over several invoices. With this new functionality, you can enter these purchase invoices on one project and then activate them as fixed assets. So you get better control over your investment costs, have fewer manual general journal entries and an automated link between projects and fixed assets.
Profit automatically keeps track of which amounts have been entered and which still need to be activated. As a result, your project administration will perfectly match your financial administration. And in InSite, you also have full insight. That is how you keep a grip on your investments!
Until now, you could only set up one mailbox per environment for e-invoices. From Profit 6 onwards, you have the ability to retrieve email messages from multiple mailboxes. You can link a mailbox per administration or for all administrations. In the communication profile for e-invoices, you can add multiple communication profile lines. This ensures e-invoices go straight into the right administration. The UpdateConnector for e-invoices has also been updated for better recognition of e-invoices.
From 22 November 2025, it will be required to submit your payment and collection files in SEPA XML version 2019 to the banks. Profit now supports this new format. The new SEPA XML version 2019 stems from European regulations and further standardisation of payment transactions.
Main change: address data of debtors and creditors must be delivered in a structured manner in the SEPA file (XML). This means address data is broken down into Street name, House number, Postcode, City and Country. This data was previously delivered in up to 2 lines.
With the migration to Profit 6, all Dutch and Belgian bank accounts are automatically set to the new SEPA XML version 2019. This means that whenever you make a new payment, direct debit, refund or salary payment, you immediately use this new version. For bank accounts in other countries, the default setting will continue to be set to the 2009 version as not all foreign banks support the new format. You can easily change this setting if required.
Peppol is a business network for exchanging electronic documents such as e-invoices. It allows you to send and receive e-invoices more securely, quickly and easily. This network is increasingly becoming the standard for e-invoicing. In some countries, it is already required for invoicing the government. From 2026, in Belgium, all business transactions (B2B) will require you to send e-invoices through Peppol. The Netherlands is likely to follow in 2027.
At AFAS, we are working on full integration with the Peppol network. This allows you to send and receive e-invoices directly through Peppol, without the need for additional software. In the coming period, we will start piloting in phases with a group of customers selected by us. From Profit 7 onwards, this functionality will be available to all customers.
It is already possible in Profit to send and receive e-invoices over the Peppol network through the eConnect platform. Customers using eConnect can migrate to AFAS' Peppol integration. You can, of course, continue to use eConnect.
You can now also import a single PDF through the E-invoices UpdateConnector without a UBL (Universal Business Language) invoice attached. Through the UpdateConnector, you send the PDF after which Scan & Recognise (Scanbox) picks it up and processes it if the activation has been enabled.
In addition, we added the Administration (UnId) field to the UpdateConnector. This allows you to specify an administration number into which the e-invoice will be read so the PDF and/or UBL will be placed/added directly into that administration unless the administration is in the UBL.
From now on, for the Contract Value method based on invoice value, Profit will support an invoicing cycle per year, quarter and six months in addition to the existing possibility of per month and per 4 weeks.
In Profit, the SBI codes have been expanded to include the 2025 SBI codes. The current 2025 SBI codes have been added. The SBI is updated about once every 15 years. In the first half of September 2025, the Chamber of Commerce will update the SBI codes in the trade register.
Two new fields have been added for the migration from the current format to the new 2025 format: 2025 SBI main section code and 2025 SBI main section description. The display of SBI codes also shows the new main section codes and their descriptions
